Maria Isabel Moreno
Researcher Sustainable Landscapes
I lead projects to improve sustainable value-chains of Cacao and Coffee, including the consolidation of sustainable landscapes that guarantee ecological connectivity, biodiversity conservation, rentability of crop production and welfare of local communities. Within the Tescafe and CACAO+ projects I promote commercialization of specialty coffee and chocolate, as a conservation strategy for biodiversity and to increase producer welfare. I am qualified as a spatial analyst and have worked with multiple institutions providing connectivity analyses for decision making, the design of protected areas and the development of transport infrastructure. I also support SELVA in administrative management.
