Definition of Conservation Status and Distribution Models
Expeditions and model-validation will be used to define presence-absence localities to develop more accurate distribution models. Each study focused on a population’s biology and ecology will be used to re-define population status and ecological requirements, in order to provide valuable information on their natural history.
All this information will be combined to re-evaluate or propose (depending on each taxon’s situation) a more precise threat categorization and submit it to the IUCN.
Currently there is no available content, however, soon you will have access to the Cartographic Guide to the Distribution and Conservation Status of Pyrrhura Parakeets, where you will find a compilation of maps for each species/subspecies.
